The famous doctor Richard Schultz discovered a recipe that he called super-tonic, because it helps with healing many conditions.
Tinctures are one of the best natural medicines, firstly because they contain and extract every best thing from the herbs. On the other hand, they are very strong so we have to be careful when using the.
Although tinctures usually contain alcohol, you should know that apple cider vinegar is a perfect solvent if you want to make tonic tincture. Not only it is 100% non-toxic, but it also has many healthy properties:
- It helps with acidity regulation in the body
- It helps the digestive tract – if the apple cider vinegar is organic and non-filtered, it contains a symbiosis of friendly bacterial colonies and fungus that are a great probiotic.
- Apple cider vinegar has strong anti-microbial properties and has proved in decreasing cholesterol levels and helping with sensitivity to insulin
- Apple cider vinegar that is antifungal, antibacterial and antivirus, also helps with energy production which strengthens mental and physical functions
- Boosting the immune system
Schultz emphasizes that it is necessary to use organic ingredients for the super-tonic, or to raise them yourself, to get all of the positive effects.
Ingredients: Fresh habanero pepers, one garlic, one red onion, ginger root, horseradish root and extra virgin apple cider vinegar.
Preparation: This tonic is prepared the same way as tinctures: put the herbs in a pot, cover them with apple cider vinegar to the top. Then peel and chop the veggies, and put them in a big glass jar, again covering the ingredients with ACV. Cover and shake so that the tonic can mix. Store in a cool, dark place at least 2-6 weeks. The longer you leave it, the stronger it will be. Shake well from time to time.
In order to be able to easily use it, drain the tincture. You will need thin cloth or cheesecloth, a big container and a stainless steel strainer.
Put the strainer in the container and cover it with the cloth. Pour the mixture from the jar, and apply pressure with something to squeeze all juices.
You can pour the tonic in small jars, or in a big one. A dark bottle would be the best choice, because it decreases danger from brightness. Store in a cool, dark place.
The rest of the herbs and veggies you can use from soups or add them in other meals.
Dosage: After the tonic is ready, you can use it daily, or when needed – for better digestion, immunity and treatment of different diseases. Remember, you are drinking very strong herbs and the taste will be also strong, so you can add a bit of organic honey. Make sure you drink lots of water during the day.
You can consume up to 1 oz. a day. If you are dealing with difficult infections, you can take up to 6 oz. per day.
