As winter is coming here is basil pesto recipe you can freeze, flavored with spicy Italian peppers. This is creamy and a bit of spice.
Recipe:
- 2 cups basil
- 1 cup parsley
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 – 3 Italian hot peppers
- 1/2 cup pecorino (optional)
Salt to taste
Puree and freeze.
When you want to use, defrost and add in grated cheese
