People that live in villages, or have visited someone who lives there, can probably tell right away which one is the healthiest yolk, namely organic or not.

Here’s Why You Need To Consume Organic Eggs And How To Recognize Them!

Of course farm raised chicken are different than the ones that are organically raised. In the organic chicken’s diet there aren’t harmful chemical components, hormones and they don’t have restricted movement area.

Chicken raised in conventional conditions are closed in cages, and are often fed with concentrate.

The organic yolks, are mostly stronger, darker (the first one in the picture) so everything you prepare with them has a clear yellow color. But organic or village raised chicken yolk can be lighter, because the color of the yolk also depends on the type of food they consume. If the chicken is fed with corn and walks in the yard, their yolk would probably be darker. If it is only fed with corn, but doesn’t have unrestricted movement their yolk would be lighter.

No matter the color, home and organic eggs are full with beta-carotene and omega-3 fatty acids and have a large amount of vitamin A, B and R. Nutritionist, dietician and aroma therapist Raichevich emphasizes that when it comes to organic products, the certificate is very important.

If you want to purchase organic products, you should check the certificate beforehand so you know what the chicken that gave the egg was fed with. Organic eggs are definitely healthier than the conventional ones we buy at the supermarkets, and besides the fact they don’t contain hormones and antibiotics, their nutritive value is higher.

If you decide to raise chicken by yourself, get good information before that, provide a lot of room, feed them with fresh greens (the darker the grass – the better it is), spinach, kale and broccoli and in winter give them corn.
