“I can eat anything I want; I just can’t eat it at the same time,” Oprah explained during an interview. “Which is the entire philosophy of life: You can have it all. You just can’t have it all at the same time.”

“I give myself a healthy dose of quiet time at least once (and when I’m on point, twice) a day,” she said in a post on her website dedicated to the power of Transcendental Meditation. “20 minutes in the morning, 20 in the evening.”

  1. Be grateful from the moment you open your eyes in the morning

“I have never set an alarm, I don’t believe in them,”- she revealed this as her daily routine. “They are . . . alarming! I put the number in my mind, and I wake up before that, usually between 6:02 and 6:20, because the dogs are trained to go out around that time. My first thought in the morning is, ‘Oh, I’m alive. Thank you!’ ”
