This diet, as other fast weight loss diets, is not very healthy and that is why it should be done for as short amount of time as possible. A few days will be enough to get rid of unwanted weight, to cleanse the body and to get ready for consumption of smaller amount of food in the future.

This diet is good because it helps in decreasing the size of the stomach and after you are done dieting, it will be easier to control the weight and the appetite. You simply won’t need as much food as you ate before! In average, we usually consume twice as much food as we need, which forces the stomach to enlarge.

The liquid diet, as the name suggests, involves consumption of liquid food only: juices, soups, dairy products, herbal teas and water. The total amount of liquids consumed daily should not exceed three liters.

Food plan:

9:00 – one cup of oatmeal
10:00 – one cup of vegetable broth (transparent strained soup)
11:00 – one cup of warm, pre-boiled water
12:00 – half a cup of fruit juice with the other half of water
13:00 – one cup of warm, pre-boiled water
14:00 – one cup of milk
15:00 – one cup of herbal tea without sugar
16:00 – one cup of meat broth with no salt
17:00 – one cup of warm, pre-boiled water
18:00 – one cup of warm, pre-boiled water
19:00 – half a cup of fruit juice with the other half of water
20:00 – one cup of warm, pre-boiled water
21:00 – one cup of kefir (with less than 2% fats)

Three days after finishing the liquid diet

First day: you only eat steamed veggies in small portions.

Second day: a bowl of steamed veggies and the cooking liquid with one piece of bread, fresh carrots and lettuce for dinner

Third day: you go back to normal food, but without any greasy food and bread.

When you do include bread in your food (although it is better to avoid it!) try to make a 2 pieces limit per day.
