Some people have a saying “Strong as dragon”, and if you want to be like that, the best way to do it is with dragon tonic.
Dragon tonic or dragon fire is especially prized among herbalists! It contains powerful ingredients that raise immunity, have an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral effect and it helps with circulation and digestion. It is especially known for its ability to prevent inflammation, symptoms of colds and flu. Keep in mind that it takes about a month to mature.
You Will Need:
- ½ cup peeled and diced, chopped ginger root
- ½ cup peeled and diced, chopped horseradish root
- ½ cup peeled and diced, chopped turmeric or ¼ cup ginger and ¼ cup horseradish (optional)
- ½ cup white onion, chopped
- ¼ cups of chopped garlic
- 2 chopped hot pepper
- Grated rind and juice of 2 lemons
- Apple cider vinegar (about a pint)
- Honey to taste
Preparation:
Put the ginger, horseradish, onion, garlic, chilies and lemon juice, grated rind in a jar. Place them gently, so that the jar is about ¾ full. Put heavy roots to the top, so they will pull peppers and other plants that float to the bottom.
Pour a rather large amount of apple cider vinegar over the roots and vegetables. All ingredients should be covered with liquid in order to prevent spoilage. Note that it will absorb part of the liquid and pour a little more.
Put the baking paper or gauze, if you use a metal cover, so it will not get corroded by vinegar. Store in a dark place at room temperature for 2-4 weeks, or month.
When the Dragon tonic finished, stir well, and then strain it using gauze or a fine strainer. Add honey to taste and keep in the fridge or in a cool dry place. Toner can stay for a long time and it can be used during pregnancy and it is safe for children (use small doses!) because the ingredients are natural and non-toxic.
